Introduction To Wreaths Across America:

Wreaths Across America is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded to continue and expand the annual wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery begun by Maine businessman Morrill Worcester in 1992. The organization’s mission – Remember, Honor, Teach – is carried out in part each year by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies in December at Arlington, as well as at thousands of veterans’ cemeteries and other locations in all 50 states and beyond. You can read the full history of the organization here - feel free to use!

Here’s a video version that will save you the reading:

National Wreaths Across America Day is a free, non-political event, that honors and remembers our nations veterans who are laid to rest in 2500 different locations nationwide. While this event is usually open to all people, this year each individual location will be abiding necessary safety guidelines and rules set forth by the participating cemetery locations, at which we are their guests.

People living in communities all over this country have demonstrated that Wreaths Across America Day is important to them as Americans and loving family and friends. Right now Volunteers are working hard trying to raise funds to sponsor wreaths, and changing with the needs of their areas to keep this tradition going despite the challenges 2020 has to offer.
